Les prix sont attribués en fonction d’un barème de points basé sur un maximum de 100 points. Des minima doivent être atteint pour chaque prix. Le même principe s’applique à l’attribution des mentions.

Si aucun chœur n’obtient le minimum exigé pour un prix, ce dernier n’est donc pas attribué, ce qui garantit la haute qualité des récompenses décernées par le Montreux Choral Festival.

S’il n’y a qu’un chœur dans une catégorie, il y a forcément des prix qui ne sont pas attribués.

Tous les chœurs reçoivent un diplôme de participation et un cadeau du Montreux Choral Festival. Seuls les chœurs ayant un prix reçoivent une rémunération financière selon les indications ci-dessus.
